You are leader in AI agentic deployment and customer engineering
As the Information Systems Development Director (AI Engineering & Customer Delivery), you will plan, organize, direct, control, and evaluate Terrantic's Vancouver-based engineering function responsible for customer specific implementation, AI agent configuration, and platform customization. You will oversee the design, deployment, and operation of customer facing information systems, including model adaptation and digital twin interfaces, to ensure successful outcomes at each customer location.
You will also build and manage a team of high performing engineers and graduates working at the intersection of AI, data engineering, and customer success, and will establish the processes, standards, and tools required to scale these capabilities across North America and globally.
· Plan, organize, direct, and evaluate end to end customer implementation activities, including requirements discovery, AI solution configuration, AI agent fine tuning, system integration, and success metric tracking.
· Oversee the translation of IT and OT data into actionable analytics and AI assisted process automation flows, ensuring that the resulting information systems are robust, secure, and maintainable.
· Establish and enforce processes for continuous model validation, monitoring, and adherence to business and operational constraints at customer sites.
· Meet regularly with customer stakeholders to define system requirements, specifications, constraints, and timelines, and ensure these are reflected in deployment plans and technical designs.
· Assemble, lead, and supervise a multidisciplinary team of full stack developers, AI and data science engineers, and forward deployment specialists based in Vancouver.
· Define team structure, roles, and responsibilities to support scalable delivery of customer specific implementations and information systems operations.
· Design and implement onboarding and training programs for junior engineers and interns, with a focus on forward deployment practices, digital twin concepts, and enterprise AI deployment.
· Provide ongoing coaching, performance management, and professional development, fostering a culture of precision, accountability, and strong product customer alignment.
· Act as the primary voice of the customer to internal product management, engineering, and AI research teams, ensuring that field experience and system usage data inform the product roadmap.
· Identify areas of improvement and product gaps in Terrantic's platform, tools, and deployment processes that can increase value, reliability, and ease of implementation for customers.
· Establish and maintain feedback loops to monitor and improve digital twin fidelity, data quality, and system responsiveness across customer environments.
· Collaborate with internal teams to prioritize and implement enhancements that reduce deployment effort and increase standardization of configurations and integrations.
· Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs), templates, and best practices for AI agent deployment, digital twin configuration, monitoring, and incident response.
· Oversee monitoring of AI agent outputs to detect drift, anomalies, and performance degradation, and direct the design and deployment of corrective actions.
· Set up and oversee systems and dashboards for customer usage monitoring, and develop plans to improve utilization, adoption, and realized value at each account.
· Design and implement early warning systems and reliability measures for production deployments, including alerting, escalation protocols, and rollback strategies.
· Ensure that processes, methods, and tools are designed to scale globally, enabling consistent forward deployment across multiple regions and customer types.
· Prepare and manage budgets for the forward deployment and customer delivery function, including staffing, tools, infrastructure, and travel, ensuring efficient use of resources.
· Define and track key performance indicators for deployment efficiency, system reliability, time to value, and customer satisfaction, and report regularly to senior leadership.
· Work closely with sales, customer success, and product leadership to align deployment plans with commercial commitments, contract terms, and long term account strategies.
· Represent the forward deployment function in governance forums related to security, compliance, data management, and technology standards.
